Making a difference every single day by empowering girl child with education
India Literacy Project, wishes all women a very “Safe & Happy Women’s Day”!
At ILP, we believe in translating wishes into reality, and as per the United Nations theme for this year’s international women’s day “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality”, ILP has always been “a catalyst for girls education” in:
- Skilling on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) aligned to state syllabus on #computer education
- Cultivating a culture of digital education for improved learning outcomes
- Training teachers in their professional development via digital learning
India Literacy Project implemented a unique model for empowering women educators for skilling girls in high schools through digital education & #career guidance in the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Jharkhand.
This is a one of its kind program under the Ministry of Human Resource Development for empowering adolescent girls from underserved ST & SC communities.
ILP has joined hands with the Jharkhand government to facilitate this program in two districts covering 9000 girl students.
This is the first and unique intervention by ILP with an all women team of 18 Technical Facilitators skilled in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and conversational English.
As part of the ICT project, we have exceeded 2,00,000 hours of learning and still going steady for the coming years.
The synergy with & shared vision of our CSR, NGO and government partners in respective states has shaped our mission of digital skilling for young girl students.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who have made this possible, to unlock their potential and empower them to soar high!
At India Literacy Project, we believe in making a difference each day. Standing by the girl child and encouraging them is not a one-time decision, but a daily commitment.
