Tenth standard results came out last week and this year (2012-13), 9 students of our ILP Puraskara scholarship program appeared for SSLC and their results have been heartening and inspiring. We had a 100% pass percentage with 3 First class, 3 Second class and 3 pass class. Irrespective of their ranks and distinctions their accomplishments are important for all of us because all these children have done themselves proud against all odds.

Thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers who have been the integral part of this program
To give you a brief background, ILP’s Scholarship Program – Puraskara was started mainly to ensure continuation of education of children from economically weaker sections in Karnataka to help children who would have otherwise dropped out of school during their transition from Middle School or Upper Primary to High school education i.e. from Std VII to VIII.
From the last two years, we have merged our Puraskara program and Arivina Mane program ( Community Library program) under Multi-Dimensional Learning Space (MDLS) Program. Through this program this year, we would be providing covering about 600+ children, 300 of which will be between 8th to 10th standard. ILP’s Multi-dimensional Learning Space (MDLS) is an after-school open learning space that provides experiential learning opportunities for high school students to explore, experiment, discover, and learn in multiple ways. MDLS improves learning competencies, and equips students with academic and life-skills. MDLS also provides students exposure to a wide variety of areas beyond the school curriculum.
