𝗔𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 the tripartite MoU signed between, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Department of School Education,Govt of TN
and India Literacy Project electronic kits were officially distributed on February 14 by inviting Chennai district school teachers at IITM campus.

The 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 of creating the electronics kit is 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀.

The electronics kit imparts knowledge in 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 (𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 /𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀), 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗔𝗿𝗱𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 of interest for micro projects by the students. This kit can be used to conduct 𝟮𝟱𝟬+ 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Kamakoti Veezhinathan, Director IITM, Kumaragurubaran Jayabalan IAS, Principal Secretary of Education, Sudhan IAS Member Secretary of Namma School Namma Ooru Palli Foundation of Government of TN, Prof. Sarathi Ramanujam, IITM, Dr. Amudha and Dr. Kumaravel IITM Professors were present on the occasion.

India Literacy Project pitched in with its 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 (𝗠𝗗𝗟𝗦) 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝘁 which improves scientific temper in students from grade 5-10 mapped to the National Council of Educational Research and Training ( NCERT ) syllabus.

Also, ILP Facilitators have been trained by IIT-Madras Professors in using the electronics kit and these Facilitators will interface with IITM trained teachers in 38 districts in the usage of both electronics and science kit.
