Guru Krupa Foundation Inc. is proud to partner with India Literacy Project (ILP) to establish Multi-Dimensional Learning Spaces (MDLS) in Tamil Nadu government schools. This initiative includes Child-Friendly Libraries, Science Kits, and Science Fairs, enhancing both literacy and practical learning. Additionally, STEM & Electronics education is being advanced, equipping students with essential skills for the future. This partnership is impacting a total of 39,000+ students, fostering a brighter educational future for them.
The Child-Friendly Library Program integrates GROWBY Hippocampus reading methodology, providing students access to engaging books. The Science Experiential Learning Program brings science to life with curriculum-aligned ILP Science Kits, guided by facilitators and digital resources. The Science Fair extends this learning, encouraging students to apply scientific principles through hands-on projects. The Career Guidance Program empowers first-generation learners with the tools and insights they need to make informed career choices.
To further strengthen these initiatives, teachers are provided specialized training in setting up libraries, using science kits, incorporating digital learning tools, and guiding students in career planning. The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) played a vital role by conducting an Electronics kit orientation and training to enhance the technical expertise of teachers. Furthermore, schools under this program have registered with Namma School Namma Ooru Palli, a Government of Tamil Nadu initiative designed to foster community engagement and CSR partnerships to uplift government schools.
Through comprehensive baseline and endline assessments, the impact of these programs is continually measured, allowing for ongoing refinement. This collaboration is laying the foundation for future-ready STEM education in Tamil Nadu.
