The recent ILP Partners meet in Varanasi brought together key stakeholders to enhance collaboration, share knowledge, and reaffirm a collective commitment to improving education in government schools across India.

The event included a blend of field trips, interactive sessions, and insightful presentations, offering a holistic view of the current educational landscape.

The ILP team visited government schools and Village Learning Centers (VLCs) across various districts, engaging with teachers, community members, parents, & students.

These visits provided valuable insights into the challenges and motivations of Vidya Saathis & other educational stakeholders.

Asuri Lakshminarasimhan Rangarajan, CEO of ILP, inaugurated the meet, setting the stage for a series of meaningful discussions.

Dr. Sudhira H. S. Co-Founder of Gubbi Labs & ILP Trustee, presented on national educational trends, highlighting both opportunities and obstacles.

Subhash Pochareddy, an ILP volunteer, emphasized the importance of data-driven approaches to improve educational outcomes.

Padmaja Sathyamoorthy from the ILP US Chapter discussed the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in education.

Anish Jindal, Chief of Staff at Rocket Learning, shared practical insights from ECE WhatsApp based experiments, showcasing innovative methods in early childhood education

Simran Jaiswal from Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA), New Delhi, addressed the significance of school leadership and teacher certifications, while Arun serrao from CDF, Bangalore, provided lessons from Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) CDF Model training with ILP Partners.

State-wise partner discussions focused on challenges, possible solutions and support needed from ILP on MDLS program areas e.g. Career guidance, STEM and child friendly libraries.

A session on early childhood education and the impact of training given by CDF and ILP were elicited, and practical difficulties were clarified to the partners.

There were also sessions on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) methodology implementation and training provided, fostering the exchange of region-specific knowledge and strategies.

This gathering in Varanasi underscored the power of collaboration in driving educational progress and set the groundwork for future initiatives to enhance education in India.
