Think big, dream big…
India Literacy Project believes in the beauty of big dreams to make a bigger impact and is proud to sign a tripartite agreement with the prestigious institute Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and Government of Tamilnadu, Education Department to nurture scientific temper in class 9-12 students in 250 schools, impacting 1 lac students per year.
This agreement was signed in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu MK Stalin, Hon’ble School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozh, IIT-M Director V. Kamakoti and ILP Founder Venki Venkatesh
As part of this agreement, IIT-M’s objective is to arm the next generation with practical electronics skills for which they have developed a high-end electronics kit.
India literacy project pitches in with its Multi-Dimensional Learning Space (MDLS) flagship science kit which improves scientific temper in students from grade 5-10 mapped to NCERT syllabus.
Also, ilp facilitators have been trained by iit-madras professors in using the electronics kit and these facilitators will in-turn train the teachers in 38 districts in the usage of both electronics and science kit.
Hon’ble Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hon’ble Health Minister Ma. Subramanian and senior officials of the school Education Department were present at the event, which was conducted in the premises of IIT-Madras.
