We recently came together for our Annual Planning Event — a chance to pause, take stock of our journey so far, and think ahead to where we’re going next.
With the support of the Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of Karnataka, and the dedication of our volunteers and partners, we’ve had the opportunity to play a small part in a much larger mission. Together, we’ve reached over half the state, supported 17.34 lakh students, and worked alongside 22,000 teachers across 19,000 schools. These numbers reflect not just scale, but a shared commitment to making quality education a reality for every child.
We recognise the complexity of delivering education across a diverse state — from infrastructure and resource constraints to the everyday realities that teachers, parents, and students face. These aren’t shortcomings — they are the real-world contexts in which the government and communities are working hard and doing incredible things every day.
Our role continues to be that of a catalyst — to strengthen what already exists and amplify what works. Over the past year, we’ve contributed to:
- Career guidance and counselling through Vrutti Diksoochi
- ICT training, digital learning content, and spoken English support
- Science kits and hands-on learning with tools like Google Earth
- Model school programs and multi-dimensional learning spaces
- Teacher training, classroom engagement, and parental involvement
These interventions are designed to support the state’s vision. We’re here to walk alongside the system, share tools and insights, and deepen impact through collaboration.
As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue our partnership with the Karnataka Education Department — not just to scale education, but to reimagine it. Because quality education isn’t about filling minds with facts — it’s about sparking curiosity, unlocking potential, and helping every child see what’s possible.
A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, partners, and the entire ILP community. Your support makes all of this possible — and more.
Every child deserves a great education—help us make it happen!
