As an organization dedicated to enhancing Government schools, India Literacy Projectโs primary focus lies on the educators within these institutions and the broader education system.
Our overarching objective is to empower students in Government Schools to attain grade-appropriate skills and pave the way for successful careers.
Our approach to achieving the goal of “students attaining grade-appropriate learning levels” centres on supporting Government school teachers in enhancing classroom engagement.
In pursuit of this goal, we collaborate with teachers, offering various resources, including a range of open-source teaching aids developed by our team.
To bolster teachers’ efforts, we employ facilitators with a Bachelor/Master of Education background.
These individuals undergo thorough training by ILP and are then assigned to specific schools, where they provide support to teachers.
We believe in nurturing our team, offering training, encouragement, and diverse exposures to help them become outstanding educators.
By setting high benchmarks for themselves, our facilitators can effectively motivate and inspire the teachers they work with.
While our primary focus is supporting teachers in Government schools, a significant accomplishment for us is witnessing our facilitators transition into teaching roles within these schools.
We are thrilled to announce that five facilitators from our team have been selected as Government school teachers in the recent hiring conducted by the Government of Karnataka for Higher Primary Schools.
Our programs are designed not only to inspire the teachers we work with but also to cultivate that within our facilitators.
From our meticulous hiring and training processes to various exposure activities and a flexible leave policy encouraging the pursuit of higher education, including study/exam holidays for teacher entrance exams, all aspects are geared towards motivating our team members to become skilled, passionate, empathetic, growth-minded, and self-aware educators.
We take pride in playing a role, albeit small, in our team’s journey towards becoming educators in Government schools of Karnataka.
