Inculcating the habit of nurturing the environment in childhood is sowing the seeds of a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
India Literacy Project believes in inculcating right habits at an early age.
One such initiative taken up by the Child Rights Committee formed in schools is to ensure that children are made aware of taking care of the environment for a better future.
As part of this initiative, the children are taught to prepare seed balls and sow them in and around their homes and schools and nurture the saplings.
Child Rights Committees in schools comprise teachers and parents. This committee is aimed at realizing rights of children such as right to education and right to health and also the right to be raised in a healthy environment.
