The Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) was extremely pleased with the outcomes achieved in the Anganwadis in which ILP is working in Amberpet area. In fact the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of DWCD declared 3 Anganwadis covered by ILP as “Model Anganwadis”.
The CDPO complimented ILP on the quality of services provided to each Anganwadi and the tremendous improvement that can be seen in the health and nutritional status of women and children. It is noteworthy that from around 150-200 Anganwadis which fall under the current CDPO, this honor has been bestowed only to the 3 Anganwadis covered by ILP.
Furthermore, she has asked ILP to take all the 23 Anganwadis under its wing and make Amberpet AWCs as the paradigm of “an ideal Anganwadi”.
