The Science and Math Olympiad, an initiative led by the Department of School and Mass Education, Odisha was organized recently which aims to foster students’ aptitude in Mathematics and Science.
The program had quizzes and showcased projects by Primary and Upper Primary students. Approximately 190 children participated in the event.
Science projects featured included the Smart Plant Pot, Oxygen for Combustion, Simple Electrical Circuits with switches, the Solar System, and Water Purification.
Mathematics projects encompassed two-dimensional shapes, identifying even and odd numbers, multiplication, and more.
Prizes were awarded to the winners.
ILP’s partner NGO, UAC, empowers schools by providing them ILP science kits. This not only enhances the teaching abilities of teachers but also fosters a more engaging and effective learning environment for children. Through hands-on experiments and interactive learning experiences, students are able to deepen their understanding of science concepts.
