Parenting is a joyful responsibility of helping shape their child’s future

India Literacy Project joins hands with government schools across various states of India in facilitating and regularizing the School Management Committee (SMC) which is a mandatory requirement by government to ensure parents are active participants in ensuring:

• Schools prepare and implement development plan
• School responsibly utilizes the grants received from appropriate government or local authority
• Teachers maintain regularity in attending school
• Rights of children are appropriately followed, else it should be brought to the notice of the government
• Regular meetings are held with parents to apprise them about their kids’ attendance and learning progress
• Mid-day meal scheme is implemented
