Hands on Science and Electronics for rural government schools
India Literacy Project (ILP) has entered into a unique partnership with the Department of School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) to strengthen STEM education covering 100,000 students government schools in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu.
This project aims to
- Encourage rural students to learn electronics and science with confidence using electronic kits designed by IITM
- Spark a passion for electronics in students in grades IX to XII to build careers in electronics industries
- Improve conceptual learning of science for students in grades VI to X using the ILP science kit
Your generous donation will help us procure and distribute the kits to the schools, train the teachers and students on how to use them, and monitor and evaluate the impact of the project. We want to create a pool of talented and skilled youth who can contribute to the development of our country.
