A group of class 9 students from GHSS in Tamil Nadu, have built an innovative Forest Fire Detection System, blending creativity with a genuine concern for the environment.
Worried about the increasing frequency of forest fires and their devastating impact, these young minds used basic materials from their ILP science kits—like bi-metallic strip switches, batteries, and sensors—to design an early warning system. The device detects fire risks in real time, allowing for quicker responses to prevent widespread damage.
What’s inspiring is how these students turned a classroom project into a practical solution for a real-world problem. A simple reminder that innovation doesn’t always need complex tools—just curiosity, determination, and a desire to make a difference.
ILP congratulates the students for winning second prize at the district Science Fair for their innovative forest fire detection system. Their project showcases creativity, hope, and the power of small steps to drive big change. Truly inspiring to see young minds protecting our planet!
Aligned with NCERT standards for grades 5–10, ILP’s Science Kit is packed with 𝟮𝟬𝟬+ 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 spanning biology, physics, and chemistry.
