Self Discovery module is  a key step in Career Guidance program designed by India Literacy Project.

In this step the students are made aware of the need for a career, goal, their strengths, areas of interest, career interests etc. through a process of self-reflection and introspection as part a year long program.

India Literacy Project believes that a career exposure session, without the students understanding what they would like to do will not be useful for the students.

In Self Discovery phase the teacher motivates the students to think big and takes the students through various self-discovery sessions using worksheets created by ILP.

The self-discovery process also facilitates in developing certain life skills that are essential for the student’s career.

Students are also encouraged to involve their parents at this stage as without parental support both financially and emotionally, no career program can be planned or will be successful.
