Hats off to this inspiring teacher Biranchi Kumar Samal working as a Headmaster in Kalipoi village in Odisha whose perseverance is truly admirable in the face of adversity.
Biranchi Kumar treks 10 kilometers of hilly terrain every day to reach the school which is located in the middle of a forest.
Due to low strength, this school had closed down but after continuous efforts of School Management Committee, the school was reopened but still the tribals inhabiting there, refuse to send their children to the school.
Thanks to Biranchi Kumar’s unrelenting efforts in meeting the tribals regularly and also getting involved in their activities, he has been able to persuade few parents to send their kids to school.
While it’s a humble beginning with currently 4 students enrolling in the school, it’s a matter of great pride what a teacher can do against all odds with his passion for education.
Here’s wishing Biranchi Kumar good luck in convincing the other parents to send their kids and hopefully in a few months the school will be bustling with activity and makes a difference in the lives of the kids and their parents.
